Arrow of Light Ceremony

Mark your calendars for the Friday January 19th Arrow of Light ceremony to be held at Edison School beginning at 6 P.M.
Please note this is a date change from what has been communicated via this newsletter in the past!

The Derby Cars are in! Den leaders will be receiving cars that will then be distributed to their Pack within the next week or two.
Trial Runs will be held at the Kirby’s February 22nd and 23rd (Thurs and Fri) from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. All Scouts should show up to test their car, weigh in, and prepare! The Kirby’s address is 1204 Gamon Rd. Thanks, Jim and Sue!
Volunteers are still needed! The Pinewood Derby will take place on Sunday, February 25th from 2 – 5 p.m. at Edison Middle School. Volunteers can sign up during the trial runs or by calling the Kerby’s at 690-1288.

It’s not too soon to be thinking about spring events. This year we will be camping at Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve at Argonne National Laboratory on Saturday May 5th.
We have spots for up to 50 people to attend, so everyone shake out their sleeping bags and let’s go! One parent is required for each scout who attends. Siblings are welcome to join for the fun and games but cannot stay the night.
Volunteers are needed to make this event successful. We need helpers to plan food, games, hiking, etc. Please contact Andy Mack if you can help.
Camping sign up for this event is required by March 1st so watch for more information to follow regarding this exciting activity.
