October 2006 Newsletter
CHANGE OF DATE AND LOCATION FOR OCTOBER PACK MEETING!
The October pack meeting, originally scheduled for Friday, October 13th has been changed to Sunday, October 15th at Herrick Lake.
- Rain or Shine, we will begin promptly at 2pm in Herrick cabin. A ranger will give us a nature talk in the cabin, followed by a guided hike if weather permits.
- To park you should turn to the right as you come in the main entrance from Butterfield Rd. From there, follow the path to the cabin.
- A parent must accompany all scouts for this event, and please be sure to arrive early. Siblings are welcome to attend.
Have you sold any Popcorn today?
Popcorn sales are going strong, but we still have some work to do to meet our goal. Each scout should sell at least $250 worth of corn, but you are welcome to sell more!
- If you haven’t signed up for any show and sells, please contact Andy Mack today!
- You can pick up more product Dennis Stehlik’s house (2014 Greensboro Dr.) on Saturday October 7th from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m.
- All money is due into Dennis Stehlik by October 28th.
November Schedule of Events
USS Silversides Submarine Overnight:
- Watch for an email by October 20th from Tom Thompson with all of the information for this exciting event! Details will include an itinerary, driving directions, medical forms and other needed information. Car-pooling will be up to each family to arrange if desired.
November Pack meeting
- The November Pack meeting is scheduled for November 10th at Whittier School, followed by our annual Carnival.
- Be sure to mark your calendars for this fun event, open to the whole family! Details will be provided in next month’s newsletter.
